Summary of Role

Brannan is a leading British manufacturer & supplier of thermometers and measuring devices, founded in 1913. Located in Cleator Moor, Cumbria, we operate in several market sectors, including retail, scientific laboratory and industrial.

We are a manufacturer who has built up a reputation for quality and service, supplying customers both in the UK and worldwide. The successful candidate will be joining a small team of dedicated sales professionals, offering an exciting challenge to sell into varied market sectors globally.

We’re currently looking for a part time Sales Administrator to join our fast paced and busy sales team at our head office. The role will be the first point of contact for our global customer base – via telephone and email – therefore, excellent customer service is at the heart of this position.

The role will predominantly include answering customer calls and order processing, organisation of deliveries, quotations for new enquiries and other general administrative duties. Close liaison with all members of the sales, production and finance teams will be required to resolve customer queries and ensure seamless customer service operations. Day to day activities may also include some sales analysis and report generation, as well as any other ad-hoc tasks required by the company.

 

Essential skills:

  • Organised manner
  • Good attention to detail and ability to focus on the job in hand
  • Ability to work and think clearly under pressure
  • Self-starter
  • Good communicator – both verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of office programmes such as Excel and Word

Terms

  • 22 days holiday pro-rata (excluding bank holidays)
  • Part time role – 20hrs per week, Monday – Thursday (hours negotiable)
  • Office based in Cleator Moor, Cumbria
  • Contributory pension scheme after completion of satisfactory probationary period

The company has enjoyed a huge increase in e-commerce activity over the past few years, and is now looking to strengthen this element of the business to help develop the potential of the sector.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the Company’s CRM system
  • Manage the website, including:
    – Create SEO rich content for the website to improve traffic with buyer intent
    – Analyse web traffic conversions and how customers navigate through the website, and implement ideas for improvement
    – Ensure photographic content on the website is kept up to date
  • Create content for social media to achieve their marketing goals
  • Use LinkedIn to generate new leads
  • Support the sales department by providing analysis of product performance and seasonal trends
  • Research competitor activity
  • Run email lists including their newsletter funnel

 

Essential skills & attributes:

  • Qualified to degree level or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital economies and e-commerce
  • Understanding of web-analytic tools such as Google analytics
  • Highly organised, analytical and technically minded
  • Proficient in various data analysis techniques and procedures
  • Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
  • Professional, punctual and goal driven

 

Preferred additional skills:

  • Ability to create graphic advertising for marketing campaigns
  • Ability to create photographic content
  • Ability to create video content
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo, Ahrefs,

 

Terms

  • 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
  • Full time role (up to 38 hours)
  • Office based in Cleator Moor, Cumbria
