Dammam is home to the existing Prince Mohamed Bin Fahd Stadium, and a new, large-scale Aramco Stadium is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2026. The new, state-of-the-art stadium is being fast-tracked for completion in time for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup and the 2034 FIFA World Cup. It will have a significantly larger capacity of over 46,000 spectators and will be built to FIFA standards. The stadium's design is inspired by water vortices from the Persian Gulf, featuring a dynamic, spiral form with an integrated cooling system.
